Episode 21

The voting is over and Dream Stripes by Cailliau Berangere has won with 38% and a good second Leftie by Martina Dehm.
So we will be knitting the Dream Stripes. The KAL is going to start like today and will go on untill may 15 2013. So you do not have to cast on right away. Find the perfect yarn and then get going.
Tag your project with DSKSDH (DreamStripsKalSweDutchHandcrafts) so it will be easier to randomly pick a winner from the finished objects.

We now have 74 for members and I am really excited about that!
Every week I draw a RAP from the group, as you all now, and this time Nancy Liedel won a RAP.
I have sent her the Color Affection by Veera Välimäki.

The knitting bag I got in the mail is from Maria Elena's Bliss and here you can find here on Etsy.

I hope I did not forget anything.

Enjoy!!

Episode 20

I have been good and bad this week. Finished my moms cardigan (as good as). It is going on the needles again for the button band. I have been infected by the "Color Affection" and knitted one in 4 days. A new record has set. Made some boxes for stitch markers for my knitting retreat coming Thursday till Sunday and I have still a lot to do. Frogged a cardigan and hopefully I will cast on a new one inspired by the Color Affection shawl.

This week's RAP is going to Jackie-Knits and she had on her wishlist the Traveling Woman by Liz Abinante

The nominees for the KAL shawl are:
1. Leftie by Martina Behm
2. Dream Stripes by Cailliau Berangere
3. Saroyan by Liz Abinante
4. Cedar Leaf Shawlette by Alan Dakos
5. Primavera by Kimberly Gintar

You have a week to vote on my Ravelry group.
Come and join us and then we can get starting with knitting.

See you next week!

Episode 19: Finally some progress

I finished two socks this weekend:
One vanilla and one Cable Sock by CroJulee (on Ravelry). Her pattern hasn't come out yet.

And I am finally making progress on my mom's cardigan.
Hope I will finish it this week so I can move on!

Thank you for watching!

Episode 18

I do not have much for shownotes today.

This weeks RAP goes to UrsulaVesta and I send her the Pagoda by Marilyn King

The link to one of the methods to do a Boomerang heel or a Yo-Yo heel.
These are just examples so find the one that suites you best.
With a rap and turn I always get wholes and not with this one.
Hope you like it though.

You can find the poll here.
Go and vote you all!

Enjoy the show!

Episode 17: A great weekend went by

Here you can find a picture of how traditional Lovikka mittens looks like.
I am sure that you can find a pattern on Ravelry of them.

Here you can find the class I did with Charlotte Kaae.
She makes wonderful things and this kit is really something I can recommend!
Just to try out who she does it and which technique she is using.

The drop spindles I ordered are from Charles Arnold from Hearthwise.
He makes wonders spindles and I am proud to have them in my collection.
You can find them on Facebook
Just look at the pictures and you will fall in love immediately.

You can find information about t he RAP's I was talking about in the show right here!
And.... spread the love.
I love the idea.
This weeks RAP is Mariawilhelmina!
Congratulations.

Episode 16: Finally shownotes

I apologize for the bad quality today.
Maybe I have to buy another camera or even another laptop!

I have opened upp a Etsy shop for my American friends.
Because I wasn't able to make the changes for Amerika in my regular shop.
You are welcome to take a look and tell me what you think about it!

On the needles:
I casted on (against my own rules) a sweater for my husband with different kind of cables which he has choosen all by himself (proud of him ;))

Off the needles:
The hat for my cousins dad and I am going to mail that today!
And hopefully it fits. Otherwise I have wool left to make a bigger one.

Spinning:
Haven't done that much but a bit anyway.
I have absolutely no idea what the fiber is because the owner of the shop I got it from did not no either.
I will ply them together and make something out of it.

The Hat Heels sock KAL is finished and 10 people actually made it to the deadline.
A price is appropriate and BIM HD is the lucky girl.!
Congratulations to you.

The next will be the Double Heelix sock by Jeny Stainman.
The patterns is free so no excuses for not participating!

Hope to see you next on my podcast.
Have fun watching!

Episode 15: Not much to talk about

After I showed you the skein the camera did not wanted to focus.
I am sorry about that and I am very sorry about my mumbling and not finding words.

I have plyed my purple Kerry Hill and I am delighted with it.

The books I was talking about:
Dye one knit on by Helen Deighan & Linda de Ruiter
Knitwear Design Workshop by Shirley Paden

Some pictures of the knitting event. The pictures were taken by Ulla Margareta Holm:
